16 hours in one session doesn’t seem like much when it comes to games like Skyrim, but when it comes to DDR it’s a little different and could possibly kill you or cause serious injury. A 17 year old stared cardiac arrest in the face, however, and said ‘bring it.’
Alexander Skudlarek from Rochester, Minnesota now holds the title for "longest video games marathon playing Dance Dance Revolution" in the Guinness Book of World Records. Skudlarek set the record in October, but only received his confirmation from Guinness recently.
The interesting thing about this is that Skudlarek isn’t even a hardcore DDR player. Skudlarek simply checked out the book of World Records and picked out the gaming records he thought he could achieve – DDR was one of them.
Before you wonder how anyone can dance for 16 hours straight, Skudlarek was allowed to rest for 10 minutes at the end of every hour.
Just like all physical activity, though, the real pain began the day after.
