They say that it’s the little things in life that’ll make you the happiest. Whether that’s true or not is entirely up to you, but we can say that if you love Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and want to have them in other parts of your life, you’re in luck. Nintendo Switch Online has been giving away icons for your Switch profiles based on the newest games that come out. As a result of Gen 9 coming out, you’ll find plenty of Poke-themed icons, especially now that the second batch of them has been released.
As you’ll see in the tweet below, there is a new set of eight icons that you can get by being a Nintendo Switch Online member. In addition, you’ll have access to icons like Nemona, Arven, Pawmi, and more. So if any of these get your attention, hop onto the online service and claim them before February next year. The batch is again the second of the lot, so the first batch is available should you be quick about it.
Either way, this is another way for fans to show love for the titles. Make no mistake. Fans do love Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for the most part. A great example is through some of the characters you have in this new icon set. Nemona has become an “internet darling” due to her personality and love for battles. Plenty of funny fan art shows off her battling nature and her desire to see the main character get stronger like her. Then there’s Arven, who arguably had one of the more emotional storylines in Gen 9. He went from a guy who seemed like a jerk to being an incredibly sympathetic character.
Fans are also loving the open world the title has. While it is full of bugs and glitches, it is a thrill to go into a new area and wonder if you will find more new Pokemon within it. From personal experience, we often go to a spot and will roam around it for 20+ minutes to make sure we didn’t miss catching a single one.
If you hadn’t heard, Gen 9 sold 10 million copies in its first three days in the world, over 4 million of which came from Japan.
You can expect more items like these to come to the Switch so more fans can be satisfied with their profile pics.
