Stranger Things VR Announcement Trailer Puts you in the Eyes of Vecna, Releases Winter 2023

November 8, 2022 by Jordan Biazzo

Tame the void as Vecna!

Developer Tender Claws and Netflix have announced that they are working on a Stranger Things VR title! Yes, the hit Netflix series will be getting adapted into a VR title and it will place players into a rather different perspective than we are used to in the TV series.

Scheduled to release in Winter 2023, Stranger Things VR brings players into the Upside Down as they will helm the big bad of the series — Vecna. Yes, you will play as Vecna in the game and you will explore the wide vast open spaces of the Upside Down void. This is where you will tame the void, explore new boundaries, try in invade and conjure up nightmares for the townsfolk of Hawkins, and much more. The trailer is only a minute long, but we get to see some familiar locations, some demo dogs, and even Eleven. This will be an interesting title for sure, especially for fans of the show. There are no release platforms yet, but we can expect it to hit Oculus VR for sure.

Check out the official announcement trailer for Stranger Things VR down below:

Stranger Things has been a major success for Netflix. From the very first season, the show captured the hearts of its viewers with an intriguing story, 80s nostalgia, and lovable characters. Since then, Stranger Things went on to get more expansive and even bigger. We saw the kids fight a Demogorgon, demo dogs, and even a giant Mind Flayer. In season 4 we saw their biggest threat yet — Vecna. Without spoiling anything, the town of Hawkins and the kids are in some serious trouble, with season 5 being the last season of the show, it will be interesting to see how Netflix and the Duffer Brothers wrap up the hit TV series.

However, we should expect to see more book spinoffs, merch, and everything else in between before the show comes to an end officially. Developer Tender Claws looks like their Stranger Things VR game will be a fun one as it will put players into a different perspective, literally. Keep your eyes peeled to gameranx as we will be following the game and will be updating everyone as we hear more news about the VR title.

Stranger Things VR is set to release in the Winter of 2023. The final season of the series — Season 5, is scheduled to release in 2024. Are you excited about the new VR game? How about seeing the final season of the show? Let us know in the comments below!
