As we all know there will be 13 games revealed at the VGAs next Saturday, theres rumors going around about some new EA games that very well could be some of the new 13 games that will be announced. New games from the Dragon Age and Dead Space series are both rumored to be announced soon.
A new Dragon Age, possibly Dragon Age 3 possibly something different, will be receiving multiplayer modes. It is reported that it will be arena based and grant players control over dragons and will be using DICE's Frostbite 2 engine.
Dead Space 3 has also been rumored and accidentally unofficially announced before, but current rumors are claiming that it will have a co-op mode. Other rumors going around state that there are two other Dead Space games in the works as well. One new Dead Space IP is rumored to be a full fledged FPS, while the other is reported to be a game that involves piloting spacecrafts. Lastly, there is also a one other Dead Space game rumored to be in development being called, “Uncharted in Space”.
That last project has came to be due to EA allegedly being upset that Dead Space 2 was not as successful as Uncharted. It has even been said that Dead Space 3 was nearly canceled due to this. All these rumors seem pretty logical to me if you think about it. EA has been putting multiplayer into all their games for a while now; plus it'll give them something to slap an online pass onto.
That many Dead Space games seems a little odd to me though. EA has been trying to make Dead Space a more successful IP though, they've released movies, comics, toys, spin off games, ect. Will EA really go this far though? I imagine we'll see at least a couple of these games announced at the VGAs next Saturday.
