Let’s not beat around the bush – breasts, curly fries and video games is a pretty solid combination for many of us. The scientists* at Hooters are on this, and have opened a ‘gamer arcade.’
Joystixx, which has opened at the Hooters Casino Hotel and only allows entry to those 21 and over, boasts drink serving gamer girls, classic arcade games and private video game console booths.
Or does it?
Before you get too excited, it hasn’t received the best of write-ups if the Yelp response is anything to go by. “Not much here. When they first opened last week they did not allow drinks or food inside. They now do. They don't play music or have any audio such as the football games on their small TV screens.” User Neil J wrote.
“ A security guard stands guard. I don't know why, there's no one there. They have three pool tables, two pinball machines, about 5 arcade games, a punching bag and basketball shooting game.”
After seeing so many ‘barcades’ enjoy success, it makes you wonder how a chain such as Hooters went wrong with such an impressive formula.
* May not actually be scientists.
