Here's a look at the four-player co-op campaign for EA's upcoming FPS remake of Syndicate. In this mission, titled "New England," players must head into Eurocorp's headquarters to acquire their "precious technology".
Developed by Starbreeze, Syndicate is described as a "brutal and thrilling sci-fi first person shooter". The co-op campaign has you fight through nine different missions, some of which gamers will recognize from the original 1993 classic. The remake will focus on unique gameplay of breaching and hacking the digital world along with intense combat, which is obvious from the video above.
The story takes place in 2069 in an advanced and developed world that is divided up into regions controlled by mega-corporations known as 'syndicates'. These syndicates have revolutionized how people interact with the digital world with the invention of neural chips, allowing people to access the world's data and control technology in the blink of an eye. In return, the syndicates gained unprecedented control over the individual and their behavior and will stop at nothing to gain complete market dominance. The first line of this war are the bio-engineered and chip-augmented soldiers called agents, the syndicate's enforcers. You will take on the role of Miles Kilo, EuroCorp's latest prototype agent, and embark on a brutal quest of corruption and revenge.
Syndicate will hit shelves next year on February 21st in North American and on February 24th in Europe.
