According to folks lucky enough to get their hands on early copies of Battlefield 3, the game comes packaged with a cryptic tease for EA's other high profile military shooter, Medal of Honor. Apparently the flipside of the game's Online Pass leaflet features a military insignia adorned with the letters MOH and a large number 1. Below is the URL of the game's official site.
While it might seem at first glance like EA is merely promoting the 2010 game, the presence of a rating is listed as "to be classified", indicating that this ad is refrencing something new.
Though it didn't exactly win over critics when it was released last October, the Medal of Honor reboot has sold over 5 million copies to date. In February, producer Greg Goodrich announced that developer Danger Close was hard at work on "the next Medal of Honor," meaning the timing is almost perfect for a big reveal.
With DICE reluctant to force Battlefield into an annual release cycle, EA might be looking to utilize both franchises in an effort to compete with Activision's yearly Call of Duty titles. That would peg this new Medal of Honor game for a release late next year, though we won't know for sure until the official announcement.
