Dead by Daylight Adds a Resident Evil Killer

Fans of Dead by Daylight love to hear an announcement about which new killer will be entering the roster, well now it has been confirmed by Behaviour Interactive that a Resident Evil killer will be the next one on the list. The upcoming event where this will be happening is called Project W, and it is a Dead by Daylight x Resident Evil crossover event. The event will also feature Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers as the two new survivor characters too, although we don’t have a release date as of yet.

Project W is set to be the 25th chapter of the hugely popular horror game, but it will be the second chapter that includes characters from Resident Evil. Fans of the game may have already been aware that the acquisition was teased back in May, although no characters were revealed. That has all changed though because not only do we have an official announcement with characters’ names, but Behaviour Interactive has also released a short trailer as well. Check it out below.

The trailer for the upcoming Project W event in Dead by Daylight

As you can see from the video, the Resident Evil killer will be based on Wesker’s appearance from Resident Evil 5, complete with his seedy black duster outfit. This version of Wesker has some powers as well though; Wesker has full control of the prototype T-Virus and Uroboros Virus, which allows him to control tentacle-like appendages. As for the other characters, Rebecca is wearing her rescue outfit, whereas Ada Wong will be in her iconic red dress.

It might be obvious but due to the name of the crossover event, it would be assumed that the Uroboros Project and Project W will likely be the two key themes in the event. If you are one of the few people that hasn’t played Dead by Daylight yet, then there is still time. It is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and Android devices.
