There might be a reason to get out the old C64 tonight, folks. You do still have it, right?
One plucky little developer has ported classic platformer Prince of Persia to the Commodore 64 and, with one of the computers and a flash cartridge, you can play it today! Released October 16th, this port comes 17 years and 6 months after the console went out of production. If that's not a long enough amount of time, it's almost exacty 22 years since the original release of Prince of Persia (October 3rd 1989) on the Apple II.
There's also a pretty interesting read on just why anybody would want to do such a thing and, if you enjoy such things, it gets pretty technical.
