Riot Games has revealed that it is revamping the client for League of Legends to support future titles from the studio that are currently in development. League of Legends is by far one of the most popular games currently being played and it stands to remain at the top for a while yet, with no decline in sight.
"The League client was definitely built with League of Legends in mind, that's our game and that's what we're trying to showcase here," said Lead Designer Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street.
"In the future, we also view it as being the Riot-level platform. When we do have multiple games, players will experience them all through this similar platform. Even if your friends are in other games, you'll still be able to have things like chat channels and clubs go across all the games."
The studio did not disclose what their next game will be or when they plan to announce it. You can find out more about their game client in an interview with GameSpot.
