Crusader Kings 2: Conclave, the next expansion for Paradox Interactive's strategy game, will be released on February 2nd, the developer announced today.
Conclave aims to increase the important of politics in the game, allowing you to bring "out the politician, diplomat or tyrant in you as your royal council demands to be heard – and the loudest voices demand a seat at the table."
New legal options and council interactions will be available, with choices including the option to placate your vassals when it comes to peace and war, giving women in your kingdom the right to inherit lands and titles, and the option to add extra characters to your council.
The expansion introduces systems to prevent rapid over-expansion and allows you to rent out your soldiers as mercenaries, allowing you to make money off another kingdom's aggression when you're not at way. The importance of marriage alliances is also increased.
Crusader Kings 2: Conclave will go on sale for $14.99, £10.99, and €14.99 from the Paradox Store and major digital game retailers.
