Between Fire Emblem Fates and Bravely Second End Layer, you would think Nintendo’s already got their 3DS set with RPGs, but they have even more coming on the way this year.
First off is Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Explorers, a Monster Hunter-like set in the Final Fantasy universe, complete with multiplayer and Cloud and Lightning costumes (or as they call it, trances). Final Fantasy Explorers is coming on January 26.
Up next is Project X Zone 2, the sequel to the highly popular Namco X Capcom X Sega crossover last year. Project X Zone 2 is releasing on February 16.
After that, from Creatures and Nintendo themselves are the three original Pokemon games for the 3DS eShop, all in their grey and white glory (tinted green if you prefer). These are Pokemon Red Version, Pokemon Blue Version, and Pokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition. All three games are coming on February 27.
Finally, later this year will be two highly awaited Dragon Quest games, seemingly coming to the West in the buildup to Dragon Quest XI. These are Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, coming this summer, and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King coming later this year.
