Cities Skylines Snowfall Adds In-Game Weather, Even Temperature Reading

January 20, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

As the city cools down, game difficulty heats up.

Paradox Interactive’s and Colossal Order’s next major update for Cities Skylines has been released. Introducing Cities Skylines Snowfall.

As rumored, the update brings an in-game weather system, demonstrated first in the form of snow, but with rain and other conditions also on the way. Your city reacts dynamically to the snow, with individuals bundling up. The game even measures the temperature to increase difficulty.

Subsequently, you have to manage the onslaught of white by clearing roads with snowplows and expanding public transit. Thankfullly, you can now also install new all-weather trams to your city as well.

Lastly, there are new chirps. Yes, new chirps. That’s what you wanted in the next update right?

Do you own Cities Skylines? Does this update make you want to get it? Share your thoughts with us in the comments. You can also check out the announce trailer above.
