Pokemon Center Kyoto’s mascot is Maiko Pikachu. Maiko Pikachu wear bright red makeup and is all dressed in a pink kimono with a Ho-oh design and a Vivillion themed hair accessory.
A maiko is a geisha’s apprentice, and is often seen wearing elaborate clothes meant to evoke elegance and delicateness, and The Pokemon Company has done their darndest to bring this out with Maiko Pikachu.
Pokemon Center merchandise runs the gamut from plush, stationery, and clothing. Thankfully, they no longer have exclusive Pokemon only visitors can ever get access to.
