Techland, developers of Dying Light, have released a new story trailer for the game’s expansion, The Following (as spotted by GameSpot). You can check it out below.
The video gives us a look at some of the characters players will encounter in the expansion, while the narrator tells us a mysterious prophecy. The prophecy itself sounds biblical, speaking of plagues and blights, and predicting that one man – it’s always a man – will pass through the gates of death to bring new life.
Producer Tymon Smektala said in a statement that the team wanted to introduce an element of mystery with the expansion.
"In the expansion, we're aiming for a bit of a different mood to the story. We all love some old good mystery, whether it's X-Files or Twin Peaks, so that's an element we're introducing to our world in Dying Light: The Following."
We thoroughly enjoyed Dying Light’s base game, which came out last year, saying it is well worth playing. We also recently learned of new details that would be coming with the game’s Enhanced Edition.
Dying Light: The Following releases on February 9th, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
