Sony has struck a deal with Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear Solid. Hideo Kojima has announced that he has launched a new independent studio, Kojima Productions, in partnership with the Japanese electronics giant. The new studio will create games exclusive to PlayStation platforms. Titles in the Metal Gear Solid series are widely regarded as some of the best games of all time.
Kojima revealed the company's logo, seen above, and intends to speak to the press about his new venture later this week. With the termination of Kojima's contract with Konami, Kojima is now able to do what he wants.
Kojima Productions announced, "the studio will begin focusing its efforts in developing products that will push the boundaries in innovation and ignite consumer interest worldwide."
