As we’ve already discussed here on the site, there is a lot that goes on with actors that we don’t get to hear about until they talk about it themselves. Such as them going and taking props from the TV shows and movies that they are a part of. We recently talked about this with Mark Hamill via Star Wars, and now, it’s Christian Bale’s turn. Why? Because he is one of the few actors who has been a part of both DC Comics and Marvel movies, and with Thor Love and Thunder coming up…there had to be some stuff he took, right?
Well, you would be right, because in a press chat, Bale noted that he did take some things from both Thor Love and Thunder and the Dark Knight Trilogy!
“I have the sword, you know, I have that. That’s pretty good. I’ve got the Batman cowls as well, so that’s not a bad collection, is it?”
He’s talking of course about the Necrosword that is a key part of Gorr’s history in the comics and the upcoming movie. As for the Batman cowls, that’s a pretty great get too due to how those cowls were made for him (and his stunt doubles) so they would perfectly fit him should he “get the urge” to go and put them back on.
But if you were to somehow go to his house, don’t expect him to show them off to you in grand fashion:
“No, I do keep it private. I don’t like my house to be filled with film memorabilia, so they’re in very quiet corners.”
That’s respectable, he likely has them so that he can remember them and smile when thinking about them, and that’s pretty cool too. One can only wonder what he’d take from another superhero movie should he get the honor of doing it.
