Destiny's December update is out, and it adds the new Sparrow Racing mode to the game for a limited time. In addition to the new mode, players will notice a number of big changes to the Sunbreaker subclass that's basically a nerf. Other classes have also been tweaked to be more in line with the new subclasses from The Taken King.
There's a host of new Exotic items up for grabs, which are upgrades of Year One exotics. Speaking of weapons, every weapon class has been given some tweaks. Sidearms ready faster, Fusion Rifles have better stability, Pulse Rifles have reduced base damage, and Auto Rifles do more base damage. Additionally, Arc and Void sword guard abilities allow their users to survive a single Hammer of Sol.
Nightfalls now offer +500 Vanguard Rep on first completion per character each week, making it much more worthwhile to do.
Eris, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy and Future War Cult now also accept planetary materials in exchange for rep, and the latter three will also now provide Year 1 ships as rewards in faction reward packages.
Additionally, players can purchase new emotes to buy at the Eververse. Amanda Holliday also has bounties and racing quests up for grabs.
You can take an in-depth look at all the changes on the Bungie news post.
