What we've seen of Ubisoft's upcoming Far Cry Primal has consisted of cinematics, thus far. Next week, gamers will be able to see the actual game in action as the studio will showcase some gameplay footage during the Game Awards, host Geoff Keighley has announced.
The gameplay reveal of Far Cry Primal will be one of ten world premieres during the awards show. Other announcements will consist of similar gameplay footage reveals or full game announcements, which has many gamers excited and speculative about what studios plan to deliver. Two years ago, No Man's Sky was announced and revealed during the Game Awards.
Far Cry Primal was first revealed this past October through a teaser video. The game was then described as a single-player title set in prehistoric times, in an age when the wooly mammoth and sabertooth tiger still roamed the earth.
Players take on the role of Takkar, a hunter and last surviving member of his tribe, as he explores a new land and establishes contact with a friendly tribe. Together, they must survive the harsh and unforgiving wilderness and contend against hostile tribes.
The game is expected for release in 2016 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
