You better believe it. Helldivers is now listed on Steam for prepurchase, and comes with a new trailer.
While the twin-stick shooter was published by Sony, the developer, Arrowhead Game Studios, is completely independent. It may have simply been the case that this Steam release was something Arrowhead and Sony agreed on down the line. In any case, this is the first official Steam release from PlayStation Mobile.
Originally released this March, Helldivers is a twin stick shooter with a military science fiction theme and an emphasis on couch and online co-op. Lacking a distinct narrative, missions are procedurally generated. Co-op is fun but meticulous; as you and your teammates can hurt each other with your weapons.
On Steam, you can now preorder the Vanguard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition. While the Vanguard Edition comes with the expansions, early access, and the Helldivers Ranger Pack, the Digital Deluxe Edition has all the DLC bundled in.
