Have you been waiting on that Shovel Knight amiibo announcement? You may be getting your hands on one soon.
Amazon has now joined Best Buy in listing the amiibo with a December release date. However, Amazon's release date is for December 31, whereas Best Buy's is on December 18. Neither Nintendo nor Yacht Club Games have made an official announcement, but this seems to be evidence that it will at least be coming this month.
We do know that Falco and Lottie amiibo are getting released on November 20 and November 22, respectively, to make them ready for the huge Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday sales. While it’s not impossible that Shovel Knight will be joining them, it seems unlikely that Nintendo was able to rush their release in time for it to reach this date.
The Shovel Knight amiibo aren’t being produced by Nintendo at all, but by Yacht Club, and they have contracted a factory that makes Disney Infinity figures to make the amiibo. Hopefully, this won’t mean there’ll be meagre stocks for the Shovel Knight amiibo. I’m personally hopeful Nintendo and Yacht Club will be making a special bundle of the amiibo and a physical copy of the game.
