Fallout 4 SSD VS HDD Loading Time Comparison Video

November 10, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

It’s pretty clear the upgrade is worth it if you can afford it.

Playing Fallout 4 on PC? Here’s a tip you will want to pay attention to; get it on SSD.

Of course, everyone knows gaming PCs generally receive a performance boost when switched over from an HD to SSD. However, as this video demonstrates, the improvements for Fallout 4 in particular are so good that if money was not an issue, upgrading to an SSD would be the obvious choice, to enjoy the game in the best shape that it can be in.

For your reference, this was running off a 2500K @ 5Ghz + GTX 970. The SSD is a Samsung EVO 250, and the HDD is a Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB.

You can also check out our comparison of Fallout 4 running on a GTX 570 compared to a  GTX 970 here. Do you think you will be making upgrades to your PC to make Fallout 4 run better on your PC? Or will you instead wait for Bethesda to fix it after a few months? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
