I don't know about you, but I take my news way more seriously when it's delivered by small animals. Looks like Sega shares my views, as they've teased their next project with a clip of a gratuitously fluffy bunny.
The video, posted to Sega of America's official YouTube channel, sees the spokesrabbit inviting fans to guess what game the company will soon be announcing as part of a contest. To help narrow it down, he gives us a clue: a brief snippet of music from the game in question.
The song is quite obviously The King of Speed off the Daytona USA soundtrack, with its iconic "Rolling start!" chant. The most logical conclusion is that we'll soon be seeing a new entry in the franchise.
Back in the '90s, Daytona USA was Sega's much loved contribution to arcade racing games. Last seen on the Dreamcast back in 2001, the series is certainly overdue for a revival, though Sega will find fierce competition from the likes of Need for Speed, Ridge Racer, and countless others in the now crowded genre.
