Evil West Gets September 20th Release Date

Good news for those who like their action games packed with plenty of vampire hunting. Evil West, the latest dark fantasy action title from developers Flying Wild Hog and publisher Focus Entertainment, will be released on September 20th.

The game takes place in a nightmarish version of the American Wild West. Players are placed into the shoes of gunslinging protagonist Jesse Rentier, star hunter in the monster-slaying organization run by his father. If the release date reveal trailer that dropped earlier today is anything to go by, Evil West will be bringing plenty of visceral third-person combat to consoles and PC when it launches. In addition to being able to grab the game on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the PlayStation Store, players can also pre-order a physical copy of the game now from the Focus Store. Pre-ordering the game on Steam also unlocks the Wild Wild East Pack, containing a new outfit and five weapon skins allowing players to blast away the game’s supernatural creeps in style.

On their quest to become the ultimate vampire hunter, players will be able to jump into the game’s main story campaign alone or in co-op mode as they attempt to save America from the threat of a supernatural undead horde. Weapons, hunting tools, and that snazzy-looking lightning gauntlet Jesse sports will all be upgradable throughout the adventure.

From what we’ve seen in the reveal clip, players are in for an exciting ride. The weird, wild west-themed world that Flying Wild Hog has created is unlike anything we’ve seen before. We’ll be keeping an ear to the ground for further developer updates ahead of the game’s planned release this autumn.

Evil West is planned to release on September 20th and will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
