Two of EA’s major fall releases, Star Wars Battlefront and Need for Speed, will available to try early on its EA Access service. Need for Speed will be available on October 29th and Star Wars Battlefront will be available on November 12th. Both will debut on the service five days before their respective release dates on November 3rd and November 17th. The games are available to try only, and can be bought once they are officially released.
EA Access is a service only for the Xbox One where players may try new games before they release, save 10% on EA digital purchases from the Xbox One Games store (which includes full games, pre-orders, and expansion packs), and makes any game in the Access Vault free. Games currently in the vault include Battlefield Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Titanfall. The EA Access service is $4.99 per month.
Dice’s upcoming revival of the beloved Battlefront franchise is highly anticipated. The developer revealed last week that over 9.5 million users had played 1.6 billion minutes in the public beta, and announced today that the Millennium Falcon and Slave I ships will be playable in the Fighter Squadron mode. Need for Speed looks to redefine the franchise. You can also check out a guide to the entire Need for Speed vehicle roster here before the game releases next week.
