Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has sold 4 million units worldwide.
It’s a spectacular success for the beleaguered game company, and the kind of hit that they needed. It’s also a timely announcement, as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate hits its 1st anniversary (original release October 11 2014, in Japan), and is slated to finish giving out free DLC next month.
Capcom’s press release cites Monster Hunter X and Monster Hunter Stories for 3DS, as well as the upcoming Monster Hunter animated series. However, they did not share release dates for either game in the West.
