Destiny: The Taken King developer Bungie announced on Twitter today that “improvements” will be coming to rewards granted to players who complete the game’s weekly Nightfall event.
“Improvements to Nightfall rewards are coming tomorrow morning,” Bungie wrote on Twitter. “To benefit this week, don’t play it until the patch deploys at around 10 a.m. [PT].”
Last week, Destiny: The Taken King creative director Luke Smith said on Twitter that the developer is looking into how to improve rewards in Nightfall.
“Nightfall Rewards can be underwhelming. Runes/low # of coins/no reputation burst/weak legendaries [sic] all feel like losing. We're gonna fix it,” Smith said on Twitter.
It is unclear what these improvements will be exactly, but based on feedback to Nightfall’s reward system and Bungie’s acknowledgment of that feedback, these improvements will likely come in the form of better loot for players. What that loot could be, only Bungie knows.
If better loot is your goal in Destiny at the moment (when is it not?), then King’s Fall hard mode may be your ticket there, that is, if you can complete it. Destiny also saw the return of the timed PvP event Iron Banner last week, which also offered some enticing rewards. The 3v3 PvP mode Trials of Osiris will also be returning to the game after a delay caused by an exploit in the Hunter subclass Nightstalker.
