The New Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Combat Trailer Will Cast A Spell On You

October 16, 2015 by Holly Green

Later this month, enjoy the stunning and much-improved turn-based combat in this celebrated RPG.

With less than two weeks to go until the launch of Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition, Larian Studios are pumping out the trailers, this latest one illustrating the glorious turn-based combat at the game's core. In this new video footage, they touch on the game's environmental hazards, elemental spells, its difficulty levels, intuitive controls, and the easily accessed menus, as well as other previously announced details, like the twelve character classes and local co-op split screen. Check it out in the trailer above.

An improved version of the original June 2014 release, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition, is considered an entirely separate game, the developers told IGN back in May:

"Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is a completely separate game: not an update to Divinity: Original Sin. Both games will remain available on PC and Mac, and it is important to note that they are totally different entities, so if you've already bought Original Sin you'll see separate listings for Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition in your Steam Library."

Enhanced Edition brings a variety of updates and tweaks to the game, including a new crafting system and completely reworked ending. It releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 27, 2015 and will be free for those who already own the base vanilla game on PC. Controller support for the PC version will be introduced upon Enhanced Edition's release.
