A new update for Ark: Survival Evolved has been released by developer Studio Wildcard, which allows you to create your very one dino babies.
The update adds a breeding mechanic, which allows players to pair two members of the same dinosaur species to create offspring. Dinosaur hatchlings will retain some of the traits possessed by their parents, meaning very specific matches will be required if you're looking to create genetically superior dinos going forward.
You will be responsible for overseeing the baby's development from incubation period right up to its final adult stage.
Another addition is the 'Terror of the Deep', or Mosasaurus Suspirita. Believed to be the largest water-based dinosaur in existence, it should come in handy for players looking for transport to and from aquatic bases.
Ark: Survival Evolved is hatching on PC, PS4 with PlayStation VR support, and Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program in June 2016. The game already boasts Oculus Rift VR support and Steam Economy and Steam Workshop for easy modding.
