Destiny: Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris Return This Week in The Taken King

October 13, 2015 by Stephen Daly

There are some changes as Bungie reintroduces the two events.

The Trials of Osiris and the Iron Banner tournament return to Destiny this week, the first time they've been available in The Taken King.

Iron Banner begins today and will run for a full week, while the Trials of Osiris will be available from October 16th through the weekend.

The major changes to the two events are listed below from Bungie's website.

Iron Banner:

  • Nine daily and three weekly bounties will be available and all of them reward players with Legendary Marks for completion.
  • Completion rewards for matches will include armour and weapons.
  • Drop rates have been boosted and will be the main source of rewards.
  • 10 new weapons will be amoing the gear available, which is medieval themed.

Trials of Osiris:

  • Trials gear will only be available as end-of-match rewards, with better drops the more you win.
  • Brother Vance will offer bounties offering loot and gear.
  • Teams will be better matched than previously.
  • You can play from Light Level 251 but the recommended is 290.
