Electronic Arts has published the first ever trailer for Syndicate, a revival of the classic tactical squad-based game as a first person shooter.
The cinematic reveals a city with a large tower in the middle, presumably the headquarters of Eurocorp. The year is 2069 and rival corporations battle to assume dominance over the global finance industry. They operate in the shadows with augmented agents, one of whom is the protagonist of Syndicate. You play the role of Miles Kilo, an agent of Eurocorp.
Sonny Moore, or Skrillex, composed the Syndicate track for the game. Fans of the original Syndicate titles will immediately recognize the tune.
The game's storyline is written by Altered Carbon author Richard K. Morgan, who has presumably contributed an ample amount of gun porn and sentences that start with the word "Damage." I'm already a fan.
You'll be able to hop into the service of the corporation on February 21, 2012 on the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3.
