Broforce has been in Steam Early Access for quite some time, but that will soon come to an end as the game has just been dated for an October 15 release.
The game's developer Free Lives and publisher Devolver Digital announced that the Contra-esque platformer/shoot-em-up will shed its Early Access shackles and proceed with a full release this month. The full launch of the game will include a new set of challenging campaign missions as the Bros charge into the stronghold of Satan himself.
To celebrate the game's release, Free Lives and Broforce composer Deon van Heerden have released the Freedom EP, a five-track album of Broforce music including The Ballad of Rambro and the Broforce Theme. It's free from now until the game's launch, at which point you'll have to pay for it.

The game originally started as a gamejam entry in 2012 before arriving on Steam Early Access last year, where it attained many positive reviews from users. Over the past year and a half, the developers have added a dozen unique bros, many new campaign missions, and a level editor to allow players to make their own missions.
Here's a music video to celebrate the launch.
