Recently Sega announced that Sonic: Lost World, the 2013 game released on Wii U and 3DS, will soon be coming to PC for release. Players will be able to purchase Sonic: Lost World on Steam for $30, with a free copy of Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed for those who pre-order.
Following this announcement, John Clark of Sega Europe revealed that ther are more PC ports of older Sega titles on the way, though he did not elaborate on what titles will be offered, saying:
"This is the latest in a string of high quality PC ports of past Sega titles that we will be building on in the coming months and years."
This move comes amid ongoing talks at Sega on how to shift the focus of their team to the quality of their games. Personally I will be watching the situation unfold with caution, as Sega's game release track record hasn't been that great this past decade, and PC ports are notoriously poor across many developers and publishers.
Sonic: Lost World will be available on Steam starting November 2, 2015.
