Double Dash Studios recently won the 'Indies vs. Gamers' development contest with their project RacketBoy, which they aim to develop from an arcade game experience to a "console game experience."
RacketBoy focuses on a young boy tasked with saving his galaxy from cute-yet-evil creatures capable of great destruction. Players fly around with a scarf and racket, which is used for whacking incoming fire back at enemies.
The game combines elements of the block building games genre and shoot 'em ups for a novel arcade experience.

Double Dash is seeking $35,000 on IndieGogo and has raised almost $1,500 to date at the time of writing. The extra funding will be used to create more colourful levels, additional bosses, and a story mode.
