Humble has done bundles, weeks, books, mobile, and even a permanent store. Now, they’re taking it a step further.
At long last, Humble Monthly will allow you to subscribe to Humble’s monthly curated PC games at $ 12 a month. 5 % of the proceeds go to charity, but here’s the clincher.
Humble gets to choose everything; meaning they pick the games, the charities they benefit, and the amounts/percentages paid out to developers. Essentially, Humble wants you to trust them with seeking out games for you to play every month.
Of course, this is essentially no different from the regular bundles anyway, so if you are a regular Humble Bundle user, chances are you are exactly up for this. One bonus and one disadvantage are immediately apparent. The bonus is you can get games that Humble could not negotiate for any other way. The disadvantage, of course, comes up every time a bundle has a game you already own.
As a test, Humble has leaked one game for the 1st month already: Legend of Grimrock 2, which retails for twice as much already. There is also over a month to decide, as subscriptions don’t start until November.
