The Beginner’s Guide, a follow up to independent game developer Davey Wreden’s The Stanley Parable, has been announced for release on Oct. 1 on PC and Mac.
Wreden made the announcement via Twitter today and shared a teaser website for The Beginner’s Guide. The game will cost $10, but will be discounted by 20 percent during its first week of availability.

Other game developers seem to have had a chance to play The Beginner’s Guide prior to release and have offered some initial thoughts on Twitter:
I played The Beginners Guide a few times during its dev, and it's a very special game, a very strange game, really. It's hard to describe.

Also can attest: When I finished playing the first time it felt like multiple parts of my brain had blue-screened https://t.co/O7JiLTJAvc

The Beginner's Guide almost brought me to tears the first time I played it. Really excited to see others' reactions to it

Below are some screenshots for the game:
The Stanley Parable was initially released as a mod developed using the Source engine in 2011. In 2013 it was released as a standalone game. The iconic voice of The Stanley Parable’s narrator was made available as a voice pack for Dota 2 last year. While The Stanley Parable was created by Wreden and co-creator William Pugh under the Galactic Café name, The Beginner’s Guide is the sole endeavor of Wreden.
