Sony Computer Entertainment has shared more details on Gravity Rush 2.
Kat, along with her friends, Syd, a police officer and occasional troublemaker, and Raven, her rival turned shifter partner, investigate a gravity wave disturbance, when a gravity storm takes all three across a gravitational whirlpool, and into another world.
After saving her city, Hekseville, she is renowned as a gravity princess. In the new world she finds herself, in Banga Village, she is separated from Dusty and loses her powers. She ends up joining the people of the village in mining gravity ores.
One day, Kat and Syd make their way to work, when they run across a new Nevi, called a black insect. And then…
And then you’ll have to play the game to find out, but it seems the change in setting is a pretense to create new mechanics more suited to the PlayStation 4 than the Vita. In the meantime, check out some art of Kat, Raven, and Syd below.
Gravity Rush 2 will be released for PlayStation 4 on February 9, 2016 in North America.
