With the release of The Taken King, Xur now offers a very different set of items in his weekly inventory in Destiny.
As we noted in this post, Xur will no longer offer a guaranteed Exotic weapon. Instead, you can purchase a Legacy Engram for a Year One weapon. The only way to get Year Two guns is to play the game normally. Fortunately, the armor Engrams he sells will provide players with Year Two gear.
He is also selling a new item called the Three of Coins. Having it in your inventory increases your chance of getting Exotic engrams from bosses you kill.
Xur, the Agent of the Nine can be found in the Speaker's area of the Tower from now until very early Sunday.
