The latest update of Beat Saber brings a highly-anticipated revamp to the Level Editor. Beat Games, the developer of Beat Saber, created this new Level Editor from the ground up, bringing new features to the existing editor.
The new Level Editor of Beat Saber introduces various anticipated features. Players can now create levels with variable BPM, allowing them to break down the rhythm in the middle of a song to increase the difficulty. The new Level Editor supports Arcs and Chain functionality to improve the customization of newly created levels. Beat Games also improved the lighting system and added new music to make levels more dynamic and fun to play.
Beat Games will soon release detailed documentation regarding the new version of Beat Saber’s Level Editor. The company is aware of some issues impacting the Level Editor but plans on fixing the major bugs of the tool. Some others are quirks by design, defined by the development specificities of the Level Editor.
If the new Level Editor is still in beta, Beat Games already unveiled the planned features that will come to the game:
- 360°/90° Level editor
- Waveform scaling
- Copy, paste, and modify events inside groups
- Modifying top group events
- Update icons
- Copy / Paste between pages in top group events
- Interactive scrollbar
- Settings upgrade, add more customization
- Color Scheme Options
- Group Event Quality of Life enhancements such as new filters, etc.
More features will come to the Level Editor with future updates.
