Rashid, a new fighter that specializes in whirlwind and gust effects, has joined the Street Fighter 5 roster, producer Yoshinori Ono announced at GAMES 15 in Dubai today.
During the GAMES 15 eSports tournament event in Dubai, Ono presented Rashid with a highlight reel for the character, showing off some of his moves.
Ed. note: Whenever Rashid jumps, he says “yahoo” in a voice very similar to Nintendo’s Mario. Or is that just me?
Rashid joins Necalli as the second newcomer to the Street Fighter series. Other fighters in Street Fighter 5 include a redesigned Ken and fan-favorite R Mika.
After a problematic first attempt at a beta test on PlayStation 4, Street Fighter 5 held its second first beta test from Aug. 28-Sept. 2.
Street Fighter 5 was announced last year and is expected to be released on PlayStation 4 and PC, skipping the Xbox One, sometime in 2016.
