Payday 2 Gets Medieval Weapons in Chivalry Crossover

September 8, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Get medieval on someone’s hiney.

Weapons from Torn Banner Studios’ Chivalry: Medieval Warfare are coming to cooperative first-person shooter Payday 2 in a DLC titled Gage Chivalry Pack through a collaboration between both games’ development studios.

The Gage Chivalry Pack will be available on Sept. 10 for $5 on Steam. The premise behind the DLC is that Gage has managed to intercept the medieval weapons as they were being transported from one museum to another.

The items included in the DLC are:

  • 3 Chivalry ranged weapons
  • 1 Chivalry throwing weapon
  • 4 Chivalry melee weapons
  • 4 Chivalry masks
  • 4 achievements
  • 4 Chivalry patterns
  • 4 Chivalry materials

Sept. 10 marks the release date of “Day 1” of the Gage Chivalry Pack, but Overkill Software’s official website for the DLC teases “Day 2” as “coming soon.”

Last month, Overkill Software released the Yakuza Character Pack, which added a new playable character voiced by Togo Igawa.

Payday 2 was released in 2013 on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, an updated version for current generation consoles developed by Starbreeze Studios, was released this past June for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, resulting in the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions no longer being supported by the developer, which cited hardware limitations as reason for this decision. There has been no word on if the Cage Chivalry Pack will be made available to PS4 and Xbox One players.
