WWE 2K16 Roster Updated, More Legends Incoming, But Hogan Still Out

September 1, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Hogan went on air for a national apology, but WWE remains steadfast in their decision.

There is a new batch of wrestlers confirmed for WWE 2K16.

o   Andre the Giant

o   Batista

o   Chris Jericho

o   Curtis Axel

o   Dean Ambrose

o   Edge

o   Eric Rowan

o   Fandango

o   JBL

o   Luke Harper

o   Natalya

o   Randy Savage

o   Rick Rude

o   R-Truth

o   Ryback

o   Santino Marella

o   Sgt. Slaughter

o   Stephanie McMahon

o   The Rock

o   The Undertaker

o   The Vaudevillains

Some of these wrestlers already appeared in previous games, but some of them have received updates to 2015. Case in point, the Undertaker has changed his look once again. In this game, he sports the new haircut he had taking on Lesnar in this year’s Summerslam.

One superstar confirmed not returning for sure is disgraced wrestling icon Hulk Hogan. While racism has always been an issue in the sport behind the scenes, Hogan’s visibility and the public way he was caught making racist remarks makes it an entirely different situation for him.

Real name Terry Bollea, Hogan went on TV for his first official statement on the issue, but WWE is standing their ground regarding not rehiring Hogan.

Sharp eyed fans may notice 2K16 has a lot of confirmed Legends on it, including the likes of Randy Savage and Edge. It should be interesting to note that Sgt Slaughter will be representing his classic America loving persona, vs the Iraqi sympathizer heel turn version of him that came up in previous games.

With these announcements, the roster of WWE 2K16 is starting to get more fleshed out. Who do you wish will make the cut? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

WWE 2K16 will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on Oct. 27.
