This version bundles together a unique version of the game, with reversible cover art, a USB drive loaded with 10 digital files of the soundtrack, a 100 page game concept 11” x 7.75” artbook, and a matte art card.
Nintendo shared some of the concept art in the panel as well, of course, with particular attention paid to the different alien races created just for the game. Even though this aspect does not affect gameplay, developer Monolith Soft did several iterations of these designs over and over.

if you remember the announcement earlier this month, Europe is getting a slightly different special edition bundle, which is the same as the Japanese special edition. No steelbook, map, or double sided poster for the US, but it seems only America got the rights to actually distribute the music. it remains to be seen if America is getting a special edition Wii U hardware bundle as well.
Amazon's listing of the special edition can be found here. As you can plainly see, it's already sold out, but it's likely to get restocks later.,
Xenoblade Chronicles X will be released exclusively on the Wii U on December 4.
