Master of Orion Collector’s Edition Details Revealed

August 28, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Here’s what’s in store for those who buy the Master of Orion Collector’s Edition.

WG Labs has announced details about the Master of Orion Collector's Edition today.

The studio, which is currently developing a reboot of the critically acclaimed sci-fi 4X classic, will be releasing the upcoming Master of Orion with the three original titles as a part of the Collector's Edition.

The package will also include a digital art book, a modernized orchestral soundtrack, a retro art style graphic motif, and an exclusive race for players who own the Collector's Edition called the Terran Khanate. Those who pick it up will also be granted Early Access to the game once it becomes available.

Interestingly enough, the retro art style graphic motif allows players to play the new game with retro, pixel-art style graphics.

For anyone who was born in the '90s and the 2000's, the Master of Orion series set the bar for 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) strategy genre. The new game is a reimagining of the classic.

The game has no release date for now.
