Electronic Arts has said in the past that the ps3 will be the lead development platform for it’s upcoming FPS Medal of Honor, the publishing giant is now claiming that MOH also “ maximizes what PS3 can do.”
With quite a few developers already claiming that it is better to port games from the ps3 to xbox 360(Vanquish) rather than the other way round(The Orange Box?), these are good signs for ps3 owners who have been on the receiving end of some badly ported games in the past.
In an interview with CVG, EALA creative director – Richard Farrelly said,
We’re working hard to deliver the exact same experience across all platforms. I think for me the most important thing is for everyone that plays Medal Of Honor is satisfied… I guess the benefit to the PS3 owner is that we’re leading on it, so we’ll maximise what that platform can do for our game.
Being very honest, ps3 exclusives(Uncharted 2, GOW 3 & Killzone 2) have edged there Xbox 360 counterparts in terms of graphics, maybe Alan Wake will make us eat our words, but only time will tell whether Medal of Honor delivers on that front.
Medal of Honor is expected to release in Q4 2010 and will be available for PC, ps3 and the Xbox 360.
