Launched just hours ago, Larian Studios' epic RPG sequel Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been fully funded on Kickstarter with a ton of time to spare. The studio sought to garner at least $500,000 in crowdfunding.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 revolves around the theme of “your origins affect[ing] who you are and what chances you get in life.” Players will choose a single character at the beginning of the game, along with race, origin story, and starting stats.
The game is designed to be played either alone or co-operatively with up to four players total.
Given the success of the Kickstarter, the studio has yet to announce stretch goals, but we can certainly expect to see them do so in the coming days.
