The latest patch for Diablo 3, patch 2.3, is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, Blizzard Entertainment announced today.
The patch brings with it a new zone only accessible in adventure mode called “Ruins of Sescheron.” Sescheron was the barbarian capital until it was taken over by demon lord Baal in Diablo 2 expansion pack, Lord of Destruction. To access the Ruins of Sescheron, players will need to travel to Act 3, and then click the Ruins of Sescheron waypoint on the map. The new area has new enemies, traps, bounties, and events for players to partake in. The most important new feature of patch 2.3, Kanai’s Cube, can be found in Ruins of Sescheron.
Kanai’s Cube is a powerful artifact that players can use to extract legendary bonuses from items, reforge legendary items, remove an item’s level requirement, convert gems, and crafting materials, and set items. Also, using Kanai’s Cube, after extracting legendary bonuses from items, players can equip up to three of those bonuses directly to their character without the need of equipping the item it came from.
Other changes to Diablo 3 made it patch 2.3 include crafting, adventure mode, Season Journey, bounties, and more.
Diablo 3 and its expansion pack, Reaper of Souls, is available on PC. Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All three versions will receive this update, but Season Journey is not included in the console versions.
