You may recall Madden NFL 15's rather bizarre trailer starring Dave Franco and Kevin Hart, but, not content with that, EA Sports has decided to go even further with NFL 16's 'movie' trailer.
The trailer imagines pro football as a fake action film and features players including Rob Gronkowski, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, and Colin Kaepernick as the film's heroes. Kaepernick appears to be playing Al Pacino's from Scent of a Woman although quite why that is is anyone's guess. Rex Ryan, the Buffalo Bills' head coach, is also featured in his game-day clothes with actors Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
EA Sports will likely cut up the trailer into shorter segments for online and TV commercials as they did with last year's. Like that trailer, this one is shy on gameplay or features, but EA says that's very much intentional as they're aiming to create a new market for the game.
Madden NFL 16 launches on August 25th PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Xbox One owners who subscribe to EA Access can play the full game right now.
