Heroes of the Storm was updated today, adding a ton of new content including the Monk character from Diablo III, Kharazim, which you can watch in action here.
Kharazim has been designated as a support class character and offers the ability to heal his teammates. However, you can also play him as an offensive character depending on which traits you choose.
You have the option to define how every third basic attack will work based on the trait you pick at the start. He can either heal a nearby teammate with the lowest health, deal double damage, or restore some mana.
Players who log into the game today and in the next three weeks will get the Monk for free to add to their roster of characters. Afterwards, you'll have to pay to play him. Additionally, if you reach level 70 with a season 4 character, you'll unlock Malthael's Phantom mount. Players who reach level 12 will get a portrait border and a pennant to use in Diablo III.
Beyond the new content, the game sees some changes to ranked modes, the introduction of dynamic bundles that change in price depending on whether you already own content within these bundles, balance tweaks, and new AI settings.
The game's newly announced Infernal Shrines map is expected to be added to the game soon. It's just not ready for public consumption.
