Bethesda has taken the strange step of launching an unusual marketing campaign on the dating service/mobile app Tinder.
Anyone who's been browsing the service over the past day may have noticed a profile page for Vault Boy, the mascot used by Vault-Tec in the Fallout series of games. You might have noticed the character prominently featured throughout the games in various forms, as well as marketing for the series.
The studio is promoting it on Twitter with the slogan, "Date a Dweller" with the image in the header above.
According to the Tinder profile, Vault Boy is 25 years old, enjoy "Nuka Cola, putting out fires, taking coffee breaks, and exploring the blasted wasteland."
If you visit the Tinder profile, you'll find a link to download Fallout Shelter on your phone. It's too bad you can't actually interact with the character.
Vault Boy isn't the only character from the universe with a Tinder profile. There's also Vault Girl, pictured below.
